Frequently Asked Questions

So who are you?

Minievchina by ChinaCrunch is an online marketplace with Chinese EVs. It aggregates over 70 Chinese dealers, exporting their EVs globally. Only verified dealers can join. Marketplace offers the world's largest EV product line in one place for the best prices.

We care about the dealer's reliability, QA, PDI, and export documents. Also, we help with after-sales support and keeping spare parts.

How can you offer such a cheap prices?

There is a price war in China, so many dealers offer discounts and lower prices than MSRP. Also, our volume is significant; dealers provide wholesale prices at our marketplace. Moreover, when the car is exported, we deduct the tax back, which is our profit.

Do you have cars in stock?

No. EV Marketplace by ChinaCrunch is an online marketplace where dealers offer their inventory. So the cars are in stock in dealers' warehouses. We obtain availability data from them through XML feeds. If the car is in presales, it usually starts sales in about 1-2 months. If the car is in stock, the lead time to prepare it for shipping is about two weeks.

Do you also offer ICE cars?

We don't, only NEV (New Energy Vehicle), a Chinese term for BEV and PHEV. We used to do ICE cars export, but we ceased that as we see the future of our planet with electric vehicles. Also, the largest Chinese NEV manufacturer BYD ceased production of ICE cars in April 2022.

Are all cars brand new?

Yes. We used to offer used cars in the past, but there were many problems with quality despite quality assurance controls and pre-delivery inspection so we cased that. The cars we sell have some delivery miles, though, less than 100km. Also, they are exported as used cars. The reason is that export of new cars needs special permission from the manufacturer, which some of them won't provide, for example, Tesla.

Are you a marketplace or manufacturer?

We are a marketplace.

Is there a warranty?

No. However, we provide experienced mechanics who can help you with the repair process. Also, we offer spare parts delivery. Every car is run through a quality inspection process before shipping.

How about shipping?

You can use your shipping agent, or you can use EV Marketplace by ChinaCrunch sea freight shipping. We provide you with the Original Bill of Landing, Packing List, Vehicle Information Report, Packing List, Commercial Invoice, and Certificate of Origin. Please note that you will need to do customs clearance on your own, so if you or your custom agent have no experience with vehicle custom declaration, this service might not be for you.

Will I pay additional costs upon custom clearance?

It depends on your country, but most likely, yes. After receiving the vehicle, you will need to cover the expenses for port clearing, import duties, taxes, and any additional fees imposed by your government. It is advisable to seek guidance from local authorities or a customs agent for more comprehensive information.

Which markets do you export to?

Our biggest markets are Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa, followed by Southeast Asia and Europe. Europe has been on the rise recently, mainly with commercial EVs.

What is PDI?

Pre-delivery inspection

What is FCL?

FCL is 'Full Container Load', a container that uses a single consignee. This means that a shipment occupies the entire space of a container without having to share it with other shippers. The counter term is LCL – 'Less than Container Load.'

What is RORO shipment?

Roll-on/roll-off cargo ships are designed to carry wheeled cargo, such as cars, driven on and off the ship on their wheels or using a platform vehicle, such as a self-propelled modular transporter. This contrasts lift-on/lift-off (LOLO) vessels, which use cranes to load and unload cargo.

What is POL and POD?

Common shipping terms, POD is the ‘Port/Point of Discharge’ and is the port where the goods are unloaded from the ship; the POL (Port of Landing/Loading) is the port at which the goods are loaded on to the ship.

What is your MOQ?

One car. However, since one FCL container can accommodate two units of regular-size sedans, we suggest two cars as it lowers the shipping cost.
